| Generel information
General InformationTo give your children the great opportunity to get acquainted with the rich Korean culture, the IKAA Gathering 2007 Committee is pleased to offer a space for you and your children to meet and play with other children from all over the world at the Kidz Gathering Room, located on the 19th floor of the Sofitel Ambassador Hotel. To participate in the Kidz Gathering, you don’t have to pay any extra fees, and is offered as a courtesy to adoptee parents wishing to attend the IKAA Gathering 2007 together with their families. For babies under the age of 2 years - parents will be provided with special facilities to take care of the needs of the little ones. For children 5 years and younger - there will be toys to play with and a place to rest. For children 6 to 12 years - we are setting up an exciting program including traditional Korean folk games, workshops like making traditional Korean village house with clay, writing Hangul (Korean alphabet), making paper dolls complete with Hanbok (Korean traditional dress), and much more! Things NOT Provided at the Kidz Gathering ProgramParents will be responsible for the needs of their own kids. Therefore, meals and drinks are not included. Also diapers will not be provided. If you like to give your little kid a rest in a babybed, please bring a little sheet for hygienic reasons.Registration & VolunteeringWe are thankful to have volunteers from KoRoot (www.koroot.org) and G.O.A.’L (www.goal.or.kr), but we also need parents to help.Remembering that adoptees will come from many different countries, means that our children speak many different languages. Therefore, if you intend to enroll your children in the Kidz Gathering program, we ask that you also volunteer some of your time by filling-in some time slots in the duty schedule. It will be nice spending time together with your children and fellow adoptees and their children to discover Korean culture together and have a nice chat sharing the experiences of raising kids. In order to register your children for the Kidz Gathering, you will have to complete the following: 1) Registration form download here 2) Signed waiver form download here a) Rent a cell phone and provide that number on the waiver form. Cell phone Rental Services are being provided by BBB Phone and will be available on-site at the conference site.
